3 Pro Makeup Hacks That You Have To Start Using In Your Everyday Routine!
In the age of short video content like Youtube Shorts and TikTok, there are an innumerable amount so-called hacks shared day to day. They end up being debunked so often to the point where people don't trust them. However, I've taken it upon myself to test some of those hacks. No need to worry if they come from just another beauty influencer. They are actually real methods used by professional makeup artists that take no effort to implement, but will have you dazzling in no time!

Set Before Putting Eyeshadow
Through the many years I have done my own makeup, one of the biggest issues was excess product creasing on my eyelid. I tried using less concealer, putting eyeshadow primer beforehand, but nothing worked. I did not realize this until I found out double eyelids naturally crease anything you put on, especially if it is a hydrating formula. This area hold a lot of moisture.
Makeup Artist Kristen Marie gives advice to combat this. First make sure your concealer/foundation is completely blended out. Then take a fluffy eyeshadow brush, pack on loose setting powder (don't forget to dust some of it off), and begin brushing it all over your eyelid while looking down. If you try looking straight ahead in your mirror, it will not put it inside the crease where we need it. Keep brushing until you see that your eyelid has become mattified and lost it's original oiliness. For extra reassurance, tap on that area. It should feel a dry. You can proceed with using eyeshadow at that point.
Color Corrector and Concealer
If you have dark circles, an easy solution might just be to put concealer to cover it up. The problem that comes with is the appearance of grayish shade if you use a neutral or cool tone concealer. Professional MUA Vincent Ford solves this by dotting an equal amount of peach/orange color corrector and concealer right on top of the under-eye, then blending it together with a dense eyeshadow brush.
Lash Clusters
For those of us who put on falsies we have faced it all. Trying to place it evenly on both eyes, fitting it as close as possible to our lash line, only for them to still not look right. While many people might say to simply buy falsies with an invisible band, instead try cutting the ones you have up into four or five clusters. You might be thinking that will destroy them but it's quite the contrary.
Celebrity MUA Jung Saem Mool uses a popular industry method where she glues these clusters individually right in the lashline. Tina Yong, a Lifestyle Influencer, has a video on her YouTube channel where she gets a full makeover by Saem Mool. The care and attention to detail she takes in doing Yong's makeup overall is astounding, and there are so many other useful tricks to use from her (except the way she curls lashes using a heated stick-that is too dangerous!)
